Beth Adams, M.D.

Dr. Adams is a medical doctor with board certification in dermatology.  Originally from Virginia, Dr. Adams moved to Chicago in 1996 to enter the University of Chicago.  She graduated with honors in 2000, receiving her Bachelor of Arts degree with a specialization in Molecular and Cellular Biology.  As an undergraduate student, Dr. Adams was involved in basic science research, and in her free time she volunteered at the University of Chicago Hospital.   She was also an avid member of the University Theater community, and she participated in the “Off Off Campus” improvisational comedy troupe for 4 years as both a performer and director.  Before entering medical school, she spent a year working as a laboratory teaching coordinator at the University of Chicago, Division of Biological Sciences.

Dr. Adams attended the Feinberg School of Medicine at Northwestern University in Chicago, and graduated in 2005.  During that time she served as the coordinator for a medical student volunteer program at Children’s Memorial Hospital in Chicago.  In her free time she also played on a coed ice hockey team with several other medical students.

She completed her internship (first year of residency) in Internal Medicine at Evanston Hospital, and relocated to Detroit, Michigan in 2006 to begin her Dermatology training at Henry Ford Health System.  As a Dermatology resident she was active in teaching both fellow residents and medical students, and she was chosen to speak at the Michigan Dermatological Society meeting.

Dr. Adams completed her Dermatology residency in June, 2009, and received her board certification in August, 2009.  She joined Dr. Goldin in private practice in August, 2009.

She is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, Chicago Dermatological Society, and Great Lakes Dermatological Society.
